Syrie & Pierre le Corf : Témoignage de Rita

Spread the love

« My name is Rita, I live in Aleppo and I am 16 years old.
We were too young when the war started, it was a real shock when we realized it. Before we used to live a peaceful life, we had a good childhood … and suddenly everything collapsed. We were kids, there were terrorists, weapons … it’s hard to express, it was very hard.

I don’t know, imagine hearing every day news that someone around you is hurt or dead, … I started thinking, « What if someone in my family was killed …? » Or « what if I was injured myself when I was going to meet my friends …?
There were always a lot of fears in our hearts, this scary feeling every time we went somewhere we could die or something happen … it was the most difficult especially for somebody young like me … but step by step we started to be sort of used, we would say that « it’s just a bullet » … but thinking about it is a bad way of thinking because even if you’re not dead, you could lose a hand or a leg and you would stay the rest of your life like this. It’s not happy but it was what we were thinking. »
