Mr. Bean
Né le 6 janvier 1955 en Angleterre, Rowan Atkinson est un acteur britannique.
Issu de la classe moyenne, son père est agriculteur et il grandit avec ses deux frères près de Newcastle. Après le lycée, il suit des études d’ingénieur en électricité à Newscastle et Oxford.
C’est au cours de ses études qu’il va rencontrer Richard Curtis, futur scénariste. Une fois diplômé, il débute au théâtre par des one-man-show. Avec Richard Curtis, ils écrivent des scripts. Il apparaît par la suite dans l’émission comique Not the Nine O’Clok News en 1979, mais c’est avec la sitcom Blackadder en 1983, qui dure quatre saisons, qu’il commence à se faire connaître. À la même période, il débute au cinéma dans Jamais plus Jamais, au côté de Sean Connery.
Avec son complice de toujours, Richard Curtis, il élabore le personnage maladroit de Mr Bean. La série est un énorme succès, les audiences britanniques cartonnent, et c’est la consécration pour Rowan Atkinson, qui devient célèbre. Mr Bean remporte de nombreux prix, et le programme s’exporte dans le monde entier. Mais c’est avec son rôle de prêtre débutant dans Quatre mariages et un enterrement, en 1994, qu’il va asseoir sa notoriété à l’international.
En 1997, il porte à l’écran Mr Bean : Bean, le film le plus catastrophe, qui réalise des records au box-office. Dès lors le succès ne le quitte plus, et il enchaîne les tournages : Maybe Baby ou comment les anglais se reproduisent, Johnny English, Love Actually, Les Vacances de Mr Bean, Johnny English le retour.
En 2012, il participe à la cérémonie d’ouverture des JO d’été à Londres, où il parodie le film Les Chariots de feu. En 2018 il reprend le rôle de Mr Bean après une pause dans sa carrière, pour une série live et une série d’animation. En 2022, il est à l’affiche de la série Netflix Seul face à l’abeille.
Côté cœur, Rowan Atkinson rencontre, dans les années 80, Sunetra Sastry, une maquilleuse. Le couple se marie en février 1990. Ensemble ils ont deux enfants : Benjamin, né en 1993 et Lily, née en 1995. Mais en 2014, ils se séparent et divorcent en novembre 2015. Depuis, l’acteur partage la vie de Louise Ford, de 28 ans sa cadette, rencontrée en 2013. En novembre 2017, le couple attend son premier enfant. La même année, Louise Ford accouche d’une fille prénommée Isla.

It was during his studies that he met Richard Curtis, future screenwriter. Once graduated, he started in the theater with one-man shows. With Richard Curtis, they write scripts. The series is a huge success, British audiences are a hit, and it is the consecration for Rowan Atkinson, who becomes famous. Mr Bean has won numerous awards, and the program has been exported around the world. But it is with his role as a novice priest in Four Weddings and a Funeral, in 1994, that he will establish his international notoriety.
In 1997, he brought to the screen Mr Bean: Bean, the most disaster film, which achieved box office records. From then on success never left him, and he went on filming: Maybe Baby or how the English reproduce, Johnny English, Love Actually, Mr Bean’s Holidays, Johnny English the return.
In 2012, he participated in the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London, where he parodied the film Chariots of Fire. In 2018 he resumed the role of Mr Bean after a break in his career, for a live series and an animated series. In 2022, he starred in the Netflix series Alone with the Bee.
On the heart side, Rowan Atkinson met, in the 80s, Sunetra Sastry, a make-up artist. The couple married in February 1990. Together they have two children: Benjamin, born in 1993 and Lily, born in 1995. But in 2014, they separated and divorced in November 2015. Since then, the actor shares the life of Louise Ford , 28 years her junior, met in 2013. In November 2017, the couple are expecting their first child. The same year, Louise Ford gives birth to a girl named Isla.

Vangelis – La mort du loup

J’ai eu la chance d’être présenté à Vangelis lors d’un concert qu’il donnait à Athènes en Grèce. Nous étions depuis, devenus des amis très proches. Ce que nous avions de commun Vangelis et moi, c’est de composer la musique sans ne jamais l’écrire.
Petite anecdote:
Alors que j’étais en « stand by » dans l’attente d’un vol pour les States, j’ai squatté sa bulle au dessus des toits de Paris. Nous avons passé la nuit dans ce que je qualifierais de laboratoire du son. Nous avons mangé discuté et surtout bu, beaucoup trop bu….. Enfin, je sais pas…. Peutêtre….
Ce qui nous a pas empêché via ses claviers magiques de créer des sons et de la lumière. De cette soirée mémorable découle un titre mondialement connu dont je tairai le nom par souci de ne pas m’approprier ce qui ne m’appartient pas. Vangelis est quelqu’un que j’ai profondément aimé. Sa nonchalance, son je-m’en-foutisme, sa bonne humeur et son amour à toutes épreuves correspondaient à mes attentes lorsque je parle d’amitié. J’aime la vie mais je me réjouis quelque part de la quitter pour le rejoindre et continuer l’aventure.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Vangelis during a concert he gave in Athens, Greece. We had since become very close friends. What Vangelis and I had in common was composing music without ever writing it.
A little anecdote:
While I was on standby waiting for a flight to the States, I crashed at his place high above the rooftops of Paris. We spent the night in what I would call a sonic laboratory. We ate, talked, and mostly drank—way too much… Well, I don’t know… Maybe…
This didn’t stop us from creating sounds and light with his magical keyboards. From this memorable evening came a world-renowned song, the name of which I won’t mention so as not to claim ownership of what isn’t mine. Vangelis is someone I deeply loved. His nonchalance, his carefree attitude, his good humor, and his unwavering love perfectly embodied my expectations of friendship. I love life, but I’m also secretly glad to be leaving it to join him and continue the adventure.
In this article, I present some of his finest compositions, and to complement them, the magnificent film « The Wolf Child » by Gerardo Olivares, released in theaters in 2010 in French and Spanish versions.

C’est l’un des rares singles instrumentaux et purement orchestraux à atteindre la première place du classement Billboard Hot 100 aux États-Unis, ce qu’il a fait au début de 1974.

Celle-ci est arrivée en 1969 lorsque Joe Cocker décide, sur les conseils du producteur Denny Cordell, de reprendre « With a little help from my friends » des Beatles. Il enregistrera l’album juste derrière, accompagné d’un certain Jimmy Page, de Stevie Winwood et Albert Lee.
