Musique Trance des années 90, le titre « For an Angel » enflammait les discothèques et clubs de la Jet set tant en Europe qu’outre Atlantique.
For an Angel est une chanson de trance de Paul van Dyk publiée en 1994 sur l’album 45 RPM, le premier album studio de l’artiste. En 1998, la chanson est remixée et rééditée.
Le titre atteint la place numéro une de l’UK Dance Chart et la conserve plusieurs semaines.
Trois clips vidéo ont été tournés : l’un sur la Riviera Maya en 1994, l’un lors de la Love Parade de Berlin en 1998 et le dernier lors de concerts à Los Angeles et Berlin. Le premier clip est présent sur l’album CD/DVD Global (en) de Paul van Dyk.
Depuis sa sortie, le titre est l’une des chansons de trance les plus connues. Pour exemple en 2013, elle est reconnue par les lecteurs de Mixmag comme la 8e plus grande chanson de dance de l’histoire.

Since its release, the title has been one of the most well-known trance songs. For example in 2013, it was recognized by readers of Mixmag as the 8th greatest dance song in history.

Didier Marouani, auteur compositeur et interprète est né à Monté Carlo le 14 juillet 1953. Tout d’abord chanteur, il fonde en 1977 le groupe SpAce et lance avec son premier titre « Magic Fly » une carrière fulgurante dans une musique d’un nouveau genre à l’époque, la musique électronique.
Après 3 albums seulement : « Magic Fly, Deliverance et Just Blue » , c’est plus de 20 millions de disques vendus. Didier est toujours très actif, il a sorti récemment l’album « From Earth to Mars » et continue à se produire sur scène, en Russie et dans les pays de l’est ou il a atteint une très grande notoriété.

Didier Marouani fut le leader de la musique électronique en France, il est à l’origine de ce que l’on appelait à l’époque: la « French touch » concurrençant les allemands et les italiens qui avaient eu durant des années le monopole dans les charts.

Didier Marouani, singer-songwriter, was born in Monte Carlo on July 14, 1953. Initially a singer, he founded the group SpAce in 1977 and launched a meteoric career in a new genre of music at the time, electronic music, with his first song « Magic Fly. »

« Smalltown Boy » est le premier single du groupe britannique de synth-pop Bronski Beat, sorti en juin 1984. Il est extrait de leur premier album, The Age of Consent, sorti en décembre 1984.
La chanson a été un grand succès commercial, atteignant le numéro 3 au Royaume-Uni natal du groupe. Il a également été numéro un aux Pays-Bas et en Belgique, et a atteint le top 10 en Australie, au Canada, en France, en Irlande, en Italie, en Suisse et en Allemagne de l’Ouest. Le morceau a atteint la 48e place du classement pop américain et a été l’un des succès numéro un de la danse américaine.

« Smalltown Boy » is the debut single by British synth-pop band Bronski Beat, released in June 1984. It is from their debut album, The Age of Consent, released in December 1984.
The song was a big commercial success, reaching number 3 in the band’s native UK. It was also a number one hit in the Netherlands and Belgium, and hit the top 10 in Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Switzerland and West Germany. The track reached number 48 in the US pop chart and was a number one US dance hit.
The song was released again in December 2013 after featuring in a Christmas advertising campaign for Boots UK. Smalltown Boy was also re-recorded by Jimmy Somerville and released as Smalltown Boy Reprise (2014) for the 30th anniversary of its initial release.
This song remains today, in 2026, a beacon uniting the gay and straight communities while remaining a bulwark against Wokism.

The origins of today’s music:
The Ritchie Family are an American vocal group based in Philadelphia that achieved several hits during the disco era. They have reunited and continue to perform. Their latest single « Whatcha Got » was released in 2021.
The three original members were not related; the group was a creation of Jacques Morali who also formed the Village People. The group took its name from record producer Richie Rome, who added a T to the name; it originally consisted of three singers: Cassandra Ann Wooten and Gwendolyn Oliver (who eventually married musician Fred Wesley) of the girl group Honey & the Bees, and Cheryl Mason Jacks. Their manager was Jimmy Bishop, a successful Philadelphia radio personality who also managed Barbara Mason. Morali remembered Wooten and Oliver had done some session work for him, and he called them a few years later when he wanted to form a group and the Ritchie Family was born.
Following Brazil, they had success with the Arabian Nights album. Their follow up albums Life Is Music, which followed a 1930s theme, and African Queens were only mediocre successes. Each of these four albums was a concept album featuring songs of a similar theme as suggested by each album title. Each album also featured a long medley, usually running from 15 to 20 minutes.
Le logo Bluetooth a une origine intéressante qui allie histoire et symbologie nordique.
Le nom « Bluetooth » vient en fait de « Harald Bluetooth », un roi viking danois (Danois veut dire habitants du Danemark) du 10ème siècle. Le nom a été choisi car le Bluetooth vise à unir différents appareils de la même manière que le roi Harald a unifié les tribus danoises.
Quant au symbole du Bluetooth, il est une combinaison des runes « Hagall (ᚼ) » et « Bjarkan (ᛒ) », les initiales de Harald Bluetooth en vieux norrois.
La combinaison de ces runes forme le symbole que nous connaissons aujourd’hui comme le logo Bluetooth.
NB: Une rune est une lettre d’un alphabet utilisé par les peuples germaniques et scandinaves anciens avant l’adoption de l’alphabet latin.
Le choix du nom et du symbole représente la capacité de la technologie Bluetooth à rassembler et connecter des appareils, comme le roi Harald a unifié différentes régions.
Les Vikings étaient originaires de Scandinavie au nord de l’Europe, une région composée de pays comme la Suède, la Norvège et le Danemark. Ils étaient connus pour leurs expéditions maritimes, leur culture guerrière et leur expansion territoriale à travers l’Europe et au-delà pendant l’ère viking, entre le VIIIe et le XIe siècle.
The Bluetooth logo has an interesting origin that combines history and Nordic symbology.
The name « Bluetooth » actually comes from « Harald Bluetooth », a Danish Viking king (Danish means inhabitants of Denmark) from the 10th century. The name was chosen because Bluetooth aims to unite different devices in the same way that King Harald unified the Danish tribes. As for the Bluetooth symbol, it is a combination of the runes “Hagall (ᚼ)” and “Bjarkan (ᛒ)”, the initials of Harald Bluetooth in Old Norse. The combination of these runes forms the symbol we know today as the Bluetooth logo.

À la fin des années 1970, le groupe Michael Zager Band a déferlé sur les boîtes de nuit branchées et les médias audiovisuels de l’époque avec un véritable tsunami musical qui a duré tout l’été. Le groupe a dominé haut la main les charts pendant des semaines.
Let’s All Chant est une chanson de Michael Zager Band sortie en single en 1978. Le single s’est vendu à 763 000 exemplaires en France. Au Canada, il a été certifié or par la CRIA le .
Aujourd’hui encore samplé par les plus grands DJ sans que la jeunesse n’en connaisse l’origine, ce titre reste un excellent souvenir pour les plus anciens et à découvrir pour les plus jeunes.

In the late 70s and early 80s, the Michael Zager Band invaded all the trendy nightclubs and audio-visual media of the time for one summer. This group easily won the top spots in the hit parades for weeks.
« Let’s All Chant » is a song by Michael Zager Band released as a single in 1978. The single sold 763,000 copies in France. In Canada, it was certified gold by CRIA on January 1, 1979.
Still sampled today by the greatest DJs without young people knowing its origin, this title remains an excellent memory for the oldest and one to discover for the youngest.
