ACCIDENT D’AVION DE L’EMPIRE STATE BUILDING
(16 août 1945) Un bombardier Mitchell en route pour Newark dans le brouillard s’écrase sur les 78e et 79e étages de l’Empire State Building. Treize personnes, dont l’équipage, ont perdu la vie et de nombreuses autres ont été brûlées, blessées ou choquées.
Deux jours plus tard le gratte ciel ouvrait à nouveau ses portes.
Lui ne s’est jamais effondré…

(16 august 1945) Un bombardier Mitchell în drum spre Newark, în ceață, se prăbușește la etajele 78 și 79 ale Empire State Building. Treisprezece persoane, inclusiv echipajul, și-au pierdut viața și multe altele au fost arse, rănite sau șocate.
Două zile mai târziu, zgârie-nori și-a deschis din nou porțile.
Acest turn nu s-a prăbușit niciodată…

EMPIRE STATE BUILDING PLANE CRASH
(16 Aug 1945) A Mitchell bomber en route for Newark in fog crashed into the 78th and 79th storeys of the Empire State Building. Thirteen lives, including the crew were lost and many others received burns, injuries and shock.
Two days later, the skyscraper reopened its doors.
