Le chat, cet animal inattendu et si espiègle

Le chat était l’un des nombreux animaux dont les attributs furent vénérés dans l’Égypte antique. Il était notamment associé au symbole de protection. Tout d’abord avatar du dieu Rê en tant que pourfendeur du serpent Apophis, il connaîtra le sommet de son influence en tant qu’incarnation de la déesse Bastet.

Il n’en demeure pas moins que le chat est mon animal de compagnie préféré.

The cat was one of the many animals whose attributes were venerated in ancient Egypt. It was particularly associated with the symbol of protection. First an avatar of the god Ra as slayer of the serpent Apophis, it reached the height of its influence as an incarnation of the goddess Bastet.

The fact remains that the cat is my favorite pet.

Pisica, acest animal neașteptat și răutăcios

Pisica era unul dintre numeroasele animale ale căror atribute erau venerate în Egiptul antic. A fost asociat în special cu simbolul protecției. Mai întâi un avatar al zeului Ra ca ucigaș al șarpelui Apophis, el a atins apogeul influenței sale ca întrupare a zeiței Bastet.

Faptul rămâne că pisica este animalul meu de companie preferat.
