Skateboarding, snowboarding, paragliding and delta winging are sports that fascinate me. A slight preference perhaps for the Delta wing which I practice as often as I can. I have great admiration for skateboarders. I happened to have crossed the planet to attend a championship.
A seulement 12 ans, Liam qui vit à Biarritz dans le nord-est de la France est déjà un monstre. C’est à Marseille, à plus de 600 kilomètres de sa ville natale que nous retrouvons ce jeune garçon qui est en plein « Road Trip » (Spécial Skate.)
C’est à l’âge de 3 ans que ce jeune champion mit pour la première fois ses baskets sur une planche.
Liam nous démontre qu’une fois de plus c’est au travers de l’échec que l’on atteint le succès, que c’est dans la persévérance et en croyant en soi que tout devient possible.

Le Conseil administratif a annoncé jeudi qu’il allait déposer à cet effet une demande de crédit de 1,1 million de francs auprès du Conseil municipal. Lancé en 2019 par des adolescents du quartier, le projet dormait jusqu’à récemment encore dans les tiroirs, quand bien même les autorités admettaient que les équipements de sport urbain manquaient sur la rive droite.
Terminé en 2024?
Il faut aussi dire que les plans se heurtaient à des obstacles légaux. Il n’est actuellement pas possible de construire des infrastructures permanentes sur le terrain choisi. Raison pour laquelle la Ville propose pour l’heure un dispositif temporaire, en attendant les modifications de zone nécessaires à un aménagement définitif.
Près de 600’000 francs sont prévus pour la création d’un espace provisoire dévolu au skate «dès cette année», selon le Conseil administratif. Les 500’000 autres francs de la demande de crédit doivent financer les études préalables à la réalisation d’un skate-parkour-park définitif, qui pourrait être inauguré en 2024.
