Les années 80 furent incontestablement la décennie la plus riche et la plus créative en matière musicale et c’est dans la lignée du groupe Dire straits que nous retrouvons Snowy white dont le titre « Bird of paradise » propulsa le chanteur au top des charts durant des semaines.
Terence Charles White, dit Snowy White, né le 3 mars 1948 à Barnstaple (Devon), est un guitariste de rock britannique.
À la fin des années 70, il accompagne Pink Floyd lors de deux tournées avant de remplacer Gary Moore au sein du groupe de hard rock irlandais Thin Lizzy. Il démarre ensuite une carrière sous son nom puis forme les groupes The Blues Agency et White Flames. Il a obtenu un grand succès en 1983 avec Bird Of Paradise, une ballade langoureuse extraite de son premier album solo.
Il a aussi accompagné Roger Waters sur disques, à savoir The Wall Live in Berlin en 1990, In the Flesh: Live en 2000 et aussi la compilation Flickering Flame: The Solo Years Vol. 1 en 2002 et finalement Roger Waters: The Wall sorti en 2015 ainsi qu’en tournées. Il avait déjà joué avec le claviériste Rick Wright sur son premier album solo Wet Dream publié en 1978.

In the late 1970s, he accompanied Pink Floyd on two tours before replacing Gary Moore in Irish hard rock band Thin Lizzy. He then started a career under his own name and then formed the groups The Blues Agency and White Flames. He achieved major success in 1983 with Bird Of Paradise, a languorous ballad from his first solo album.
He has also accompanied Roger Waters on records, namely The Wall Live in Berlin in 1990, In the Flesh: Live in 2000 and also the compilation Flickering Flame: The Solo Years Vol. 1 in 2002 and eventually Roger Waters: The Wall released in 2015 as well as touring. He had previously played with keyboardist Rick Wright on his first solo album Wet Dream released in 1978.
