Scorpions est un groupe de heavy metal allemand formé en 1965 à Hanovre par Rudolf Schenker. Depuis la création du groupe, son style musical a varié du hard rock, du heavy metal et du glam metal. La formation de 1979 à 1992 était l’incarnation la plus réussie du groupe et comprenait Klaus Meine (chant), Rudolf Schenker (guitare rythmique), Matthias Jabs (guitare principale), Francis Buchholz (basse) et Herman Rarebell (batterie). Le seul membre continu du groupe a été Schenker, bien que Meine soit apparue sur tous les albums studio de Scorpions, tandis que Jabs en est un membre constant depuis 1979, et le bassiste Paweł Mąciwoda et le batteur Mikkey Dee font partie du groupe depuis 2003 et 2016 respectivement.

The lineup from 1979 to 1992 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band’s only continuous member has been Schenker, although Meine has appeared on all of Scorpions’ studio albums, while Jabs has been a consistent member since 1979, and bassist Paweł Mąciwoda and drummer Mikkey Dee have been in the band since 2003 and 2016 respectively.
