Musique Trance des années 90, le titre « For an Angel » enflammait les discothèques et clubs de la Jet set tant en Europe qu’outre Atlantique.
For an Angel est une chanson de trance de Paul van Dyk publiée en 1994 sur l’album 45 RPM, le premier album studio de l’artiste. En 1998, la chanson est remixée et rééditée.
Le titre atteint la place numéro une de l’UK Dance Chart et la conserve plusieurs semaines.
Trois clips vidéo ont été tournés : l’un sur la Riviera Maya en 1994, l’un lors de la Love Parade de Berlin en 1998 et le dernier lors de concerts à Los Angeles et Berlin. Le premier clip est présent sur l’album CD/DVD Global (en) de Paul van Dyk.

For an Angel este o melodie trance de Paul van Dyk lansată în 1994 pe albumul 45 RPM, albumul de studio de debut al artistului. În 1998, cântecul a fost remixat și relansat.
Cântecul a ajuns pe primul loc în UK Dance Chart și a menținut acolo câteva săptămâni.
Au fost filmate trei videoclipuri muzicale: unul pe Riviera Maya în 1994, unul în timpul Paradei dragostei de la Berlin în 1998 și ultimul în timpul concertelor din Los Angeles și Berlin. Primul clip este prezent pe albumul CD/DVD Global de Paul van Dyk.
De la lansare, titlul a fost unul dintre cele mai cunoscute melodii trance. De exemplu, în 2013, a fost recunoscut de cititorii Mixmag ca al optulea cel mai mare cântec de dans din istorie.
